"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. "
John 17:20-21
This is where Jesus was praying for all believers, after praying for his disciples just before he was betrayed. The other day, someone put a verse up, in awe that we are the ones talked about in that verse. Here's another example where we are referred to. This is only part of the prayer Jesus prayed for us. How awesome that is! May we all be in Him, so that we can be united with other believers.
Great choice. He prayed for us...mmmmm, how sweet.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is awesome that we were prayed for. I have had that same thought as I've read scripture. Amazing really. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Lana
I LOVE this prayer too, Sue. It is such a mind-blower to think that Christ specifically mentioned me, He specifically mentioned you in prayer on the night He faced His greatest test. It gives me shivers every time I read it!
ReplyDeleteThe power He has for our belief is more than I can comprehend but I am trying. I am doing the Beth Moore study Believing God in my quiet time. It is growing my faith and I am trusting in His power.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

It is awesome, and I appreciate you posting this. As always, when I read something like this, I know that God has led me here...
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over to my blog. Hope you're having a great day!
Such a good one, Sue. I'm going back over to post mine now!
ReplyDeleteLove this piece of Scripture. Thank you for the reminder of having the honor to be a recipient of such a prayer!
ReplyDeleteI love this vs. to because it amazes me that Jesus prayed for us, that He saw us and knew us even then. Gives me chills.
ReplyDeletelove,
