Blue Sky, Maple Tree

Our weather has been unseasonable warm.  It's supposed to get cold again next week, but spring is in the air.  I have a bug of some kind, and am about to take a nap, but I had to step out the front door and take a few photos for SkyWatch Friday first.

  2. That's a beautiful first SkyWatch. Looking at those buds I's say that it won't be long and you will not be able to see the sky through that tree.
Hope you feel better fast. There has been a bug going around our area of late, it hits hard and moves on.

  3. Beautiful photos, Sue... I love seeing the blue skies above those bare trees... We have had unseasonably warm weather here also this past week... Even the chipmunks came out to play---and they usually sleep during the 'winter'... ha

    Have a good Friday.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  4. I see buds already. Spring is just lurking around. I can't wait to smell Lilac and peonies and see tulips. Great sky shots.

  5. I got super-excited about the buds earlier this week here in NC... and then I went out Wednesday and saw a few perfect, delicate pink blossoms! I am soooo ready for Spring! Have a great week!

  8. Thanks for stopping by, Sue! My girls are six-and-a-half and two-and-a-half.

It is so much fun to have lots of cousins to play with! My daughter is the oldest of the cousins, then the next will be six next month, then a three year old, then my daughter, and three more that just turned one within the last two months. We are fortunate to all live in NC, and it is definitely "the more, the merrier"! How exciting for you to have another grandchild on the way!

My sisters, my parents and I all live within an hour of each other in the Piedmont Triad of NC, and my brother works on the Outer Banks. (He actually lives about 30 min drive from there in Elizabeth City.) Anyway, I'm glad you chose the Outer Banks... it is so very beautiful there, one of my favorite places in the whole world.

    See you next week! Jessica

  9. Nice photos. Soon enough those bare branches will be filled with spring and that icy blue sky will be only a memory. Come spring come.
