I was sitting down to do my Bible study lesson for tonight's cell group, and it was John 15:1-11. These are the verses where Jesus said He was the vine, and we are the branches. That reminded me I hadn't posted for awhile, and when I realized today is Thursday here, but Friday will soon begin in other parts of the world, I decided to go out and take some photos for SkyWatch Friday. To see skies from all over the world, click on the SkyWatch button in the sidebar.
It's overcast, with rain expected soon. I got some plants put in this morning before the morning shower. It did not last long, though, so if it doesn't rain more, I'll need to get out and water the new plants.
I like to take photos of plants with the sky in the background. The sky blends in with the blog's background in this one. This is a clematis vine.
We had to have the tree in the front yard cut down this spring. The view from the porch is different.
This clematis does not climb, so it needs to be tied up to the porch railing.
Facing north, the sky is more visible without the tree, but it is not a sunny day.
I am thankful for the rain, even though it meant my sky was not much to look at.

I love your take on sky with flowers and objects in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteI also love that you were doing your Bible Study..one of my favorite things to do. Just finished an 11 week Beth Moore Study on the Life of David.
your clematis is so beautiful. we had a vine in our previous house and didn't get to take it with us when we moved. i miss it.
ReplyDeleteMy sky is here
Your sky really enhanced the clematis even though to our eyes it might seem mundane. Glad you captured some of the happenings in your yard too.
ReplyDeletelovely shots

Good for you that you are keeping up with your Bible study. I just finished a Bible study called "Be Ye Transformed" by Nancy Missler recently--excellent.
