It was very cloudy yesterday, with some drizzling rain, and not warm, as the forecast had predicted. Today, it was supposed to be snowing and cold, but that has been moved to later today. Oh, they are showing a weather map on TV, and it's 36 an hour west of us, and 59 here. We aren't supposed to get much snow in my part of the state, but we could have icy streets. I have been cleaning my house, but now that I know how warm it is, I am heading out. Heidi will be tickled to go out for awhile.
I took these first photos mid morning. The sun has won this battle. The skies are blue right now.
These are more photos from the drive to St. Edward, NE for my husband's aunt's funeral last Thursday. The sky was even darker than this yesterday, and I didn't get any photos taken.

When the air is still and the sun is shinning I'm happy for the day feels warmer.
ReplyDeleteNice that you got to see a little blue for a while.

Whenever I see beautiful skies, I think of Ps. 19:1...the heavens declare the glory of the God and the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my Signature Gardens blog! My arm is still not well, but I have an appointment with an arm specialist this coming Monday, Jan. 3. I've been waiting for six weeks to get in. My arm has been injured since late spring, early summer. Praying God will give this new doctor wisdom for the best course of treatment. My first doctor had to close his practice because of cancer -- very sad. I had an allergic reaction to anti-inflammatories during my treatment so I had to stop that and occupational therapy. I feel like God has taken away the meds, therapy, and now my doctor. Maybe He is trying to tell me that He is enough.
I have been praying Psalm 40 throughout my injury...for patience, for encouragement, for strength, for praise in the midst of my circumstances, and that my faith will be a witness to others. I do feel like God brought my injury as a discipline for pride -- too proud to ask for help, proud that I can do everything better. I do the landscape maintenance at my church, so having a prideful attitude while serving the Lord -- not good. But I've gotten the message loud and clear. I know the Lord has forgiven me, and I have learned a very good lesson. Praying now He will be merciful and restore my health.
I got into blogging when I couldn't work outside. I have found that blogging can be quite consuming, too. I need to find a way to keep things in balance.
Have you heard about Bible Study Fellowship...BSF International? I am not sure where you live (didn't see it right away on this site), but if there's one in your area, I would encourage you to attend. We are studying the book of Isaiah this year. It is a wonderful study.
Thanks again for commenting on my blog so I could get to "meet" you and you could share your experience. I became a believer in March of 1994. What a gracious God we have!!
I love your skies ... Happy New Year. xoxo.
