Our grandson was sick Saturday, so he didn't come over, like he normally does. Larry and I decided to go to Omaha because we had a coupon that I wanted to use for a Le Creuset pan. I'm pretty sure he took the same route as our daughter-in-law did when we went in January, but the weather was a bit different Saturday, and there was more snow. Here are some of the photos I took for SWF from the window. (BTW, Larry isn't thrilled by my taking bunches of photos when he's driving, but he cleaned my window for me before we left when I asked him to. Isn't that sweet?)
We left about a half an hour later than we did last time. The sunrise is earlier, too, but it was pretty cloudy, so not much sun shown through.
This is the Platte River.
By early afternoon, it started to rain. These are photos I took on the way home. We're thankful it didn't freeze when we were driving.
I rolled my window down and up to see if it would clear up. Instead, it produced this swirling effect. I kind of like it.

We have the same landscape. What I only pray is no ice on the road, it makes the driving more harder. Great shots and thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI loved seeing these pictures. Nebraska has such wonderful "open" spaces (well, not in Omaha, of course!) and I look forward every year to our trip there to see the snow geese in early March.

Wonderful pictures..... I shoot fromt he car a lot, but my dearest doesn't always appreciate my contant "slow down" I want to get this.

Beautiful pictures, Sue... From this ole southern mountain gal, what I noticed the most was ALL of that FLAT land... Wooooo---we don't have anything around here that flat... Amazing!!!!!
