SkyWatch Photos from the Road and a Lake

We had a family gathering at a local lake Saturday.  Most of the photos I took from the car had reflections of the inside of the vehicle.  A few turned out OK.

Sunset photos are rarely as beautiful as witnessing them in person.  Such is the case here.  I thoroughly enjoyed the sunset at the lake, and the reflections in the water.  What I didn't enjoy was all the smoke, and we had to leave shortly after these photos were taken.  I was a Campfire Girl, and have always loved campfires, but my lungs hurt to breath smoke and other odors.

Have a great weekend, and click on the link in my sidebar to see more skies from around the world.

  2. Hiya Sue,
Well, what a total change of scene!
I had to make sure it was you :-)
Terrific pictures. I love the second one best. Reminds me of a certain painting by Van Gogh.
I too am bothered by smoke. Now is a bad time with leaf burning everywhere.

  5. Your reflection photos are very scenic. Sunsets look even more beautiful when reflected on the water.

  7. Somehow, I just NOW discovered THIS blog (have always enjoyed the "Corner"...).

Like you, I have trouble "capturing" the sunset. Even the BEST photography fails to convey the "living" part of it...
