Anticipation

I have been mulling over this post while doing my daily activities, and now, since Easter is tomorrow, I thought I'd sit down and let the thoughts out.  We had our kitchen remodeled a few weeks ago.  Our winter was long and cold, so, I couldn't decide which I was more excited about, the small kitchen becoming more functional, or the arrival of spring.  During these times I was also remembering that the thing I am most looking forward to is heaven.

I've mentioned that one of my favorite hymn verses is from Amazing Grace, where it says, "When we've been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we've no less days to sing God's praise, than when we've first begun."  I sometimes forget to sing his praise, but the idea that I'm heaven bound gives me a song in my heart and the greatest thing to anticipate.

I am feeling blessed to have a nicer kitchen, and to be out gardening again. I am thankful for God's love for me, and presence in my life.  I am thankful I don't have to earn his love.  He is always ready to forgive me when I need it, and he keeps me from falling down too hard.

I want to include some photos of the kitchen and some blooms.  May your Easter be blessed, and remember to look forward to heaven.

  1. Wow!! Your kitchen looks spectacular! I love the more open look, the additional shelves and the new counter tops.

I too am looking forward to heaven. I keep reminding myself that heaven is my true home and that gives me peace in these uncertain, scary times.

    Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday!

  2. Hi Sue ~ Love seeing the before and after pictures. Your kitchen is lovely and I know you are really enjoying it.

I know you are glad to be out in your gardens again too. I love your hellebores.

DH and I are looking forward to Jesus return, and hope it is soon.
This world is not what is was, and is steadily getting worse.

May we feel the love and peace of Jesus surrounding us in these crazy times.

    Have a lovely Easter.

  4. Wow, that looks way more updated adn contemporary. REALLY like those cabinets, and my dad is / was a homebuilder, so I've developed an opinionated taste on such things (some say snobbish, I say refined and elegant). Looks great.
