ABCs of the Word, "S"

1 Peter 3:15-16 is a good passage for those of us who will see people over the holidays we don't see often, who may not be believers.  For more ABC's of the word, go to Grey Like Snuffie.  After typing the passage, I realized there are two "S" words, but they are both actions people take, one good, one not.  I had looked at several passages, and was thinking this had more "S"s in it.

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Good morning Sue. Hang on to this scripture for next week. I should have gone around to everyone's site to pass on the word about skipping this week. I put it in my post last week but I probably should have made it HUGE to not be missed. I've never done this weekly stuff before and thought we should wait until after Thanksgiving since our Thursday post might be missed by so many. I'm kind of disjointed here---being gone for a week, I'm so far behind in blogging and I feel slightly confused this morning, trying to catch up or even start checking in with people. I think I should stop and go make coffee. :) Hope you have a grand day with Him.

  2. Hi Pam,
Now that you mention it, I think I remember reading that. I don't have the best memory! I may just choose another "S" verse, since this was already posted.

I know that confused, behind feeling!
    Sue
